Fall is SPS Time<\/p>\n
It has been slow the last couple of weeks over at Exoticfrags.\u00a0 Jeremy and his wife have just returned from a SCUBA vacation.\u00a0 Two weeks ago, My wife and I went on vacation. Needless to say, answering emails and shipping had to be put on the back burner for a little bit.\u00a0 Now that we are back, we are ready to roll.\u00a0 Of course, we didn\u2019t forget about the site, we put together a very LARGE update.\u00a0 We received large shipments from Greg Carroll and Karl Unarce.\u00a0 As you may know, these guys are the kings of beautiful stony corals, but that wasn\u2019t all.\u00a0 Yesterday, we received a large shipment from Greg Hiller.<\/p>\n
Greg Hiller<\/em><\/strong>, is a reefing pioneer.\u00a0 He has been successfully keeping acropora for many years.\u00a0 Greg is also a contributing author to the online magazine \u201cReefkeeping\u2019s\u201d \u201cFrag of the Month\u201d article.\u00a0 He was one of Exoticreefs\u2019 earliest farmers, and he has transitioned over to Exoticfrags.<\/p>\n So what did we get from everybody?<\/p>\n Well Greg Hiller supplies several frags of his always in demand Aqua Delight.\u00a0 While we didn\u2019t get any Blueberry frags (we tried, but the frags were looking rough in Greg\u2019s tank), we got it\u2019s kissing cousin, the Green Highlighter coral.\u00a0 Other corals from Greg include the beautiful Palau Acro, with it\u2019s distinct blue tips, and the Montipora Palawensis, this Reeffarmers LE is and intense apple green with purple polyps.\u00a0 It\u2019s a sleeper coral that will surprise you.<\/p>\n Take a sneak peak at Greg H\u2019s corals before we transition the data over.<\/p>\n http:\/\/www.exoticreefs.us\/farmer_greg_hiller.htm<\/a><\/p>\n Greg Carroll<\/em><\/strong> was kind of enough to fill some requests for us.\u00a0 We now have the following corals in stock from Greg: Lime in the Sky, Ultimate Blue Stag, and\u00a0 Acroberry (among other things).\u00a0 The Acroberry is definitely a must have in any acro collection.\u00a0 The Lime in the Sky, really doesn\u2019t need any introduction, and they are looking incredible in Jeremy\u2019s tank.\u00a0 The Ultimate Stag isn\u2019t an easy coral for Greg to frag.\u00a0 We don\u2019t have many in stock, and demand has been incredible.<\/p>\n We recommend snatching these up as soon as possible.\u00a0\u00a0 We don\u2019t know when Greg will be fragging next, and Greg\u2019s corals are in such demand, you\u2019d think they were illegal.<\/p>\n Karl Unarce<\/em><\/strong> picked up a couple of other requests as well.<\/p>\n Karl sent us home with some Icefire echinata and True Undata.\u00a0 He also supplied two new firsts for Exoticfrags, the 20,000 Leagues Lokani, and Eddie\u2019s Purple Monster.<\/p>\n We used to shop at Eddie\u2019s shop several years ago, and one thing was for certain.\u00a0 Eddie had the \u201cEye\u201d for nice corals. Read more on Eddie\u2019s Purple Monster here: Karl also provided several large frags of Pink Lemonade.\u00a0 These frags are big (by PL standards).\u00a0 Karl moved his colony and made several colonies from the base.\u00a0 Pink Lemonade typically forms a large base before it branches, so half the work is done for you on these.<\/p>\n Exoticfrags will be bringing a new coral online as well.\u00a0 Be on the lookout for the Montipora Setosa.\u00a0 This coral has been propogated by Eric Camaano of fragfarmer.com.\u00a0 I had the pleasure of seeing the mother colony in his shop, and it\u2019s a knockout.\u00a0 It\u2019s growth structure is incredible.\u00a0 So much so, that I never frag it.\u00a0 This frag was accidentally made by who knows what in my tank (Jeremy’s guess is the reef trigger).\u00a0 Luckily, I was able to find this frag and save it.\u00a0 I was surprised at how big it was, and I am glad I was able to save it.<\/p>\n Shop around on the site when the update goes live in the next couple of days.\u00a0 There will be quite to choose from.<\/p>\n Hector & Jeremy<\/p>\n
